Chrome Plated Custom Round Oil Tanks
If you are after that traditional
chopper look, then these rubber mounted
steel 3.5 quart oil tanks with a battery
tray are the perfect choice. Available
with a center or a side fill cap,
they are manufactured from 16 gauge
steel to resist cracking and 100%
TIG welded for maximum strength. Each
tank includes a heavy duty front mount
and a chrome fill plug. These tanks
use a Softail size battery and our
83548 OE style rear tank mount. For
best results use our 80627 rubber
mounts and 10807 battery cushion.
Designed in these tanks is an extended
internal oil return tube that dumps
the hot returned engine oil to the
far left side of the oil tank. This
keeps the returned oil as far away
from the feed line as possible, creating
an efficient circulating effect. A
lower left hand relief has also been
built in that can be used with a chain
or belt drive. These tanks measure
11 3/4" long and have a 6 1/2"
O.D. Fits all HARDBODY FAT-A-TUDE,
chopper style and rigid frames. Also
fits OE Softail frames 1984/1999 if
a front horseshoe type mount is fabricated
and welded to the seat post. |
